Race Day Info

Here is the 2024 Race Day Schedule along with important notes, tips, and advice to help make your day fun and memorable. Details are subject to change so be sure to confirm the morning of the race. Parking is available on the streets of Arden Park (not including La Sierra Drive). There will be NO parking, however, on the premises of Arden Park. Please note that during the race La Sierra Drive will be closed to through traffic (by foot or car) to ensure the safety of the participants.

7:00 – 8:15 a.m. – Athlete Check-in and Body Marking: Run and Bike bibs will be distributed along with a timing chip to be worn around the ankle for the entire race (Swim/Bike/Run). Please allow time for affixing these items to shirts, race belts, etc. You will also pick up your race t-shirt during this time (no packet pick-up prior to the event). Once you arrive at the park, rack your bike in the transition area (sectioned off by age group, volunteers will guide you) and then head over to the registration area near the restrooms.

IMPORTANT: All participants must check in before 8:15 a.m. in order to be confirmed in the timing system and have a timing chip issued. It is each participant’s responsibility to check-in before the start of the event (8:30 a.m. NOT their specific wave time start). We cannot add participants once we start the timing program.  Also, it is important to have a volunteer complete the participant’s body marking. We have a set format that helps the volunteers complete timing with minimal errors.

Transition Area – The transition area will be staffed with experienced volunteers who can assist you in setting up. This area will be divided into different sections based on age groups. Athletes will locate a spot before check-in and place their Swim to Bike and Bike to Run equipment.

Swim Lap Counting: Volunteers will assist each swimmer with lap counting. They will place a kick board in the water as they approach their final lap. If a kick board is in the water, the swimmer has completed their laps and can exit the water. Errors happen, so please encourage your athlete to count their own laps (1, 3 or 5 depending on age category).

Run Lap Completion Arm Marking: Volunteers will be marking the arms of each participant after the completion of each lap of the run. This will be done near the tennis and basketball courts.

The run course is a 1/4 mile loop. Your age division determines the distance of swimming, biking, and running. Please see the Distances page to determine your distances.

Water station: Water will be available on run course.

Finish: Participants will receive a finisher’s medal after crossing the finish line. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be handed out throughout the day.

Please make use of the podium/photo backdrop to record your child’s accomplishment. Also, if you have any photos that you’d like us to put on our website photo album please email them to [email protected].

The details of racing a triathlon can seem overwhelming. Please rest assured that there will be volunteers stationed in the transition area to help you set up, and answer any questions that you might have. Our goal is to educate and inspire these athletes to accomplish something great with little assistance as possible.

Thanks for your support, your cheers, and encouragement of all athletes.
